On purpose, I tried to not learn his name.
I still feel bad for that guy.
I was watching tv, but listening to the radio (Steve Stone was on the radio because the national announcers were doing the tv).
So, it's right after it happened.
They're not showing a replay, the tv is live showing this guy who tried to catch a foul ball. You can see he's got his headset on listening to the same broadcast I'm listening to.
He had no idea he'd done anything wrong.
But then on the radio, Steve Stone is saying that SOME FAN INTERFERED WITH THE PLAY.
The fan hears it right when I did, and you could see the look of absolute horror on his face when he realized who that fan was.
And now it's one more chapter in the book of Jinxes and Losing by the Chicago Cubs.
But even so, this was my best season.
Mine.
This team was just special, and I had so much fun.
And besides, everybody knows we're Series bound next year...
