« Back to 2003 Chicago Cubs Season
This was the team built on pitching.
P-I-T-C-H-I-N-G.
Not just free-swinging home run guys (or maybe just free-swinging guys). Yeah, we had Sammy and Moises. But unlike any Cub team I'd ever seen, these guys were young and scary and not just lucky. They walked around more like Chicago Bears. Like Steve McMichael or Otis Wilson. Nasty. They were plain gonna beat the snot out of you, and it was because of this pitching staff.
