I'm having fun making videos, but this subject matter sucks.
The Cubs were mugged and mugged bad late in the game last night, giving up 10 runs in the 8th of a 4-14 loss to the Brewers.
The Professor was the starter so... especially painful.
And this loss is on top of losing the series to the Mets, Marlins, and Dodgers (with the Cleveland split) - the Cubs have won 4 and lost 10 during that span.
With the trading deadline a month away, the Cubs have to do some seriously positive stuff or they'll be sellers for sure.
Nico will help.
Duffy will help.
Rizzo's back is not helping, in fact he may be worse than we thought.
No one can help the starting staff.
And in the meantime, they gotta do it with the Ortegas and Lobatons.
Kinda bleak right now.
Especially compared to the lofty joy of that Cardinals sweep that was just 2 weeks ago.
Nobody I talk to regularly has anything to say except the Cubs should sell.
Most say that with ALL CAPS.
Maybe that's the answer, but I'll hang onto the Cubs we saw in May for awhile longer.
Let's see what happens and.. go Cubs.
