You know what?
Not alot good to talk about with our favorite team.
As we suspected, the White Sox are freaking loaded and will be for years to come.
The Cubs stance has always been sorta meh about these games.
"Yeah, it's another series," is what they put out there.
The Sox on the other hand, have always seemed to take it way more seriously.
Right now, unlike any time I can remember, both the Cubs and Sox are really good at the same time.
And during this pandemic when all the rules are being experimented with, one new rumor-type thing I've heard is blow up the way divisions are structured and make it way more based on rivalry and location.
Which would mean the Sox and Cubs end up in the same division.
Not sure about that, but if I were the Cubs I'd be taking this series pretty seriously.
Anyway, Kyle Hendricks pitched pretty well last night.
Five and a third, three earned, two of them homers.
And I think just to manage your own expectations, home runs from the Sox are going to be commonplace events.
They hit two more last night, one off Wick and one of Underwood.
4 dingers.
In this series, the Sox have hit 10 long balls while the home team has hit... some doubles.
How much do you miss Nick Castellanos?
Oh well, today it'll be Yu Darvish on the mound and maybe he can apply some pressure to the wound.
Of course, he's up against ex-Cub Dylan Cease.
Who's 4-1 with a 3.16 ERA.
No need to bring up José Quintana, but it would sure be nice if the bats could pull their heads out of their you know whats.
Go Cubs.
Also, Ronnie "Woo Woo" Wickers.
We just called him Ronnie Woo.
If you ever experienced him at Wrigley, you know what the cartoon is about.
Like, his chant was SO COOL in the first inning.
But about the 6th you were thinking damn Ronnie, can it will ya?
I googled him - he's 78 now and even without the pandemic, I'm pretty sure he's retired from Woo Wooing.
