The Cubs and MLB prevailed over Kris Bryant's grievance.
Angst, that's what.
A trade could happen any minute.
I understand why.
But this was the deal I thought I signed up for: the Cubs would tank for a couple years, and put together The Core of players that were good enough to make it into the playoffs for an extended period of time.
And now because of a tax, one of The Core's key (if not THE key) guys will get chucked.
Just putting aside all the crap that comes with the whole core - money, Scott Boras, and money - this just sucks.
Bryant is not only insanely talented, he's a dream human being.
An impossible complete package you'd just kill to have.
I get it.
I'll just be on the edge of hurling until it happens.
Maybe not til the trading deadline 6 MONTHS from now.
Or maybe Nolan Arenado's a Cub tomorrow.
