Had a meeting last night at 6:30.
That I went to knowing my buddy Sutter was waiting for me at Wrigley.
But I got there in time to see:
Kyle Hendricks' last 2 innings.
What looked like a 20 pitch walk by Kris Bryant, just killer.
Anthony Rizzo, who'd gone deep twice, hit a GORGEOUS little grounder to the left side where the shift wasn't HAAAA HAAA!
But the coolest thing I saw live last night was Jason Heyward's triple.
It made a giant noise one second, and the next it was bouncing off the bricks in right so you're trying to follow that and watch Heyward and his crazy legs.
Each step is as far as most can long jump.
It's almost comical, really, but then he came in safe on his belly and our seats were lined up with it perfectly and you're on your feet screaming and man it's great to be alive at Wrigley Field even if you're wearing gloves in late May.
I apologize but I'm slammed and can't elaborate, but what a great night.
