You know what today's for?
Put on your flip flops, walk outside and breathe that summer air.
Exhilarating, isn't it?
And it has the added benefit of actually getting some oxygen back in your lungs after holding your breath all of last night.
I'm certain everybody's gonna be talking about Joe Maddon's use of the bullpen and... when he's pulling the starters BUT..
You won't read it here.
Just win, Joe.
Super busy gotta run yada yada, but the Cubs are a different team with Kyle Schwarber in the lineup.
This is gonna be so verrry interesting.
I was just talking to a guy, Tom, about superstition.
After the game Saturday night I had to walk miles to get away from the crowd in order to get an Uber.
The whole way, never stepped on a crack.
So I tell Tom that story and he' goes, "I don't think about superstition any more. I think about all the talent the Cubs have, and if anybody can blow this thing, it's the Indians."
HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT, CUB FANS?
My feet, early this morning.
Oh last thing.
I got an email from an Ed McShane.
He totally cracked me up, saying that he was having anxiety attacks and losing sleep over the Cubs lately.
And that reading here helped him out.
Doubly funny because he, "spent twenty three years as a practicing psychotherapist."
He's also a blogger and does a radio thing for CBS in San Diego.
I can't find the audio, but here's a link to his blog.
Okay so the Royko comparison is out of bounds, but what a nice article!
