Of course I was working, but had the radio on some.
When Kris Bryant hit his 6th inning 3-run homer, Pat chose the word "towering".
(I know because when he hit it, I turned it up way loud so Jason the Sox fan across the hall could enjoy it, too.)
But maybe when Bryant is batting in St. Louis, the term should be "arching".
It's kind of the perfect St. Louis description.
And after that, you thought well this one's wrapped up.
Lotta back and forth ending with Rondon beginning the bottom of the 9th by giving up a couple singles to Piscotty and Adams.
The lead was uno, so yeah a little nervous.
But then back to back strike outs and a comebacker to Rondon who "shotputted" the ball to Rizzo for the win.
So that's 4 of 6 the Cubs have taken from the Cards on their home turf.
That last sentence is sweet like powdered donut with honey and Capn' Crunch topped with frosting and sprinkles.
And today is a day off for our favorite team, but you and I can all walk around in the best moods of all time.
Have an awesome day.
