« 2016 is the most looked-forward-to of any Cubs' season I can remember. | Main | Cubs catcher Willson Contreras. Kid's kind of exciting. »

What could better describe the gut-wrenching disconnect we Cubs fans have had over how many years being unable to use all those baseball fans' hopeful, bragging terminology?

- Best pitching staff
- Best lineup
- Best field manager
- Best ownership
- Best front office
- Best in our division
- Best chance to win the World Series

Well guys, I don't know about you, but these terms are no longer off limits. I'm not afraid to say it anymore.

Let's win it all. Let's win the World Series.

Loud and proud, Bud.
Loud and proud.

Hallelujah brother.

Can I get an AMEN!!!

Such a great post! "Cubsetta Stone"! What a mind you have!!

I've been confidently telling friends and family "Two World Championships in the next ten (now nine) years." Yes, I've said it confidently, but it does feel weird doing so.

LOVE these kinds of stories!
Maybe we've all been secretly doing it, Rich.
