Jon Lester missed a scheduled OH MY GOD KRIS BRYANT JUST HIT A HOMER OFF FELIX HERNANDEZ start yesterday due to "dead arm".
And actually we've all heard the term "dead arm" and for some people it's just a normal part of the Spring.
As Lester himself said, "I really wouldn't be too concerned about it."
He got a little roughed KRIS BRYANT HIT HIS 2ND HOMER OF THE GAME OFF KEVIN CORREIA up in his last outing so maybe he was feeling it then.
But overall not a biggie, so I thought I'd make a horror movie poster.
Seriously, what is up with Kris Bryant?
I never believe anything good until it happens.
If I'm in a meeting and sell an idea that includes travel, I never believe it til I'm on the plane.
But with Kris Bryant, I'm starting to wonder if I'm on the plane.
I keep flip-flopping over whether Management should just say the hell with it and bring him up pronto, or just keep to the plan (I imagine it's the plan), keep him down until the service time thing is up.
The headlines this kid generates won't stop until the season starts or he goes down.
I was getting sick of it, but it's now sort of a daily thing you have to address.
Especially after he hits 2 homers in a game for 8 total which is twice what anybody else in baseball has, and a Spring OPS of 2.072.
Here are the top 10 OPS guys from MLB spring stats:
Anyway, something to think about.
It's kind of like... your heart wants him up right now, but your head says keep him for another year.
Okay today. 3:05 ChiTime. Jason Hammel. Pads. 35 degrees out in Chicago. Kind of perfect to stay on the couch and watch it on CSN.
