Alot of people aren't aware that William Shakespeare was a HUGE Cub Fan back in the day.
(Other semi-related little tidbit: he also invented the word "tragedy".)
Yep, it's true.
And if he was still around, he'd probably do a bit of Shakespeare poetry based on yesterday's fabulous Paul Maholm victory over the first place Los Angeles Dodgers.
I didn't see or hear a damn thing about the game.
But it must have been awesome, and I am so happy that Sveum came to his senses with the Carlos M. demotion although I wish he hadn't made it public.
Just kinda quietly put other guys in the role as the games go along.
Why?
We're shooting in New York.
Where you can't walk 10 feet without seeing a freaked out Yankee fan mumbling about an ACL and Mariano Rivera.
I'd like to say to the Yankee Fans: we've got a closer for sale, guys.
Wicked slider guy named Marmol.
He's freaking awesome!
Heard some guys on the radio suggest the same thing about Marmol. Send him to New York. Reunite him with Larry Rothschild. Maybe not as crazy as it sounds!

Weird.
That does make sense.

Sounds good to me!
I've been in D.C. the last six days, so I have not seen much of the Cubs lately. I sure hope they keep this stuff up now that I am back within the media coverage area!!
It is exciting to see Maholm pitching well! It helps give me confidence in the new regime.
