Sure wouldn't be too much fun being a Brewer Fan right now.
Less than a week ago, they were one and a half up on the Cards and all alone in first.
They came to Chicago on a 5 game losing streak and the Cubs kept it going.
Now it's 8 in a row and... that's a big crash.
On one hand, they now have the Cardinals in Milwaukee for a 4 game series so they still have a chance (and you might want to pay attention to since it'll probably decide the Central).
On the other hand, when I texted a Brewer Fan buddy kinda razzing him about the Cubs beating the Crew, his response was oh well, it's football season anyway.
I didn't text back because it would have been something like: I can think of lots better ways to start the football season than against Seattle.
And after the Wisconsin loss to LSU... I mean, there could be all kinds of depression going on with our Northern Neighbors.
So lets not dwell on that.
Think about this: Kyle Hendricks came up to the Big Leagues for the first time in early July and since then he's won 6 games, lost 1, and currenty has an ERA of 2.02.
Yesterday he was voted the NL Rookie of the Month for August.
And last night he beat the Brewers, helping give them another black eye.
The Cubs are off today, but begin a 3 gamer with the Pirates on Friday.
I say, let the black eyes continue.
