I love learning how to pronounce the names of the new Cubs.
Totally thought this was pronounced "Solar" (as in system).
Of course I was wrong.
I was the mistake makair.
I pulled a Merkle's Bonair.
I was just in St. Louis and since I'm a Cub Fan, people asked me how to pronounce "Soler" and I SO WISH I'd have had this ready:
"It rhymes with hoMAIR."
Actually sounds kinda French, but they'd get the point.
That is one impressive playair, our Jorge Soler.
Last night he hit a pair of doubles, but I wouldn't call him a doubles hittair.
Welly and Valbuena each hit homairs, though.
And this new pitchair, Jacob Turnair, he looked pretty good too.
Okay, even I'm getting sick of this little joke, but still...
How awesome was it watching Ryan Braun, who I still consider a giant lie-air, strike out swinging on that fabulous inside corner Hector Rondon pitch in the bottom of the 9th?
Such a whiffair.
Cubs take game one from the now 2nd place Milwaukee.
Have another black eye, Brewers.
