If you forgot to get a Happy Mother's Day card and your mother happens to be a Cub Fan Mother or a Mother Of A Cub Fan (I'm pretty sure she is one of those things), then this is the card for you.
It's actually 8.5 x 11", so you can copy it to your desktop and print it for free!
Which is a nice thing.
WAAAY nicer than the Cubs losing in extras to the Braves last night.
But not as nice as Mike Olt hitting his third dinger in his last 3 games.
Because that's incredibly nice.
Like, if I embedded a diamond necklace in the card that you could print and it would be a real diamond necklace you could give your Cub Fan Mom, that might be closer to the kind of nice Mike Olt gave us.
The other thing that was kind of nice was ex Marlin Rookie of the Year Chris Coghlan and ex injured Red Sox Ryan Kalish both getting hits and Coghlan even scoring off the Braves' excellent closer, Craig Kimbrel.
He's that guy who leans over towards the plate and sticks his arm out sideways and lets the elbow-on-down part dangle back and forth before throwing.
Hey, whatever you gotta do to help yourself concentrate hard enough to let a couple re-treads tie it up is fine with me.
Too bad Wesley Wright couldn't hold 'em.
Cubs lose 2-3 in 10.
And tonight at 6:10 it'll be... wait lets play a guessing game.
Pitcher A has an ERA of 2.41 with 36 Ks and has 3 wins and no losses.
Pitcher B has an ERA of 1.62 with 38 Ks and has no wins and 3 losses.
Which pitcher is Jeff Samardzija?
(Hint: Samardzija is a Cub)
