I love this story.
Javier Baez smacks a bp homer that goes out the park and breaks a car window.
Whoever owns that car should just leave the broken window, have Baez sign the car (the least he could do), and keep it on display in his front yard.
Maybe put it on a trailer and drag it to the park on game days and charge to let people have their picture taken next to it.
You never know - some day Cooperstown might want it.
Hopefully this hitting cars with homers thing becomes a daily event with maybe 10 cars getting dinged, and then someone can make the bumper stickers Cub Fans would show off with pride.
Hell, if somebody did a bumper sticker like that anyway, people in Chicago could put them on their cars that are all dented up from trying to avoid all the potholes this winter.
Anyway, isn't it great to be hearing about actual things happening on a baseball field again?
Goofy stories like this make my head spin with anticipation.
If they decided to televise these early practices I'd totally watch.
Last summer I talked about but never acted upon going to see some minor league action.
This year I just have to.
