How's about something good happens for the Cubs?
How's about Arodys Viscaino's elbow stays healthy.
And he comes up and does well in the bullpen.
In fact, maybe he does so well we're all flabbergasted.
And then we look back and think hey, Theo and Jed made a pretty smart trade a ways back.
Remember how well Paul Maholm was doing?
The Cubs traded Maholm and Reed Johnson to the Braves for Vizcaino and Jaye Chapman right at the 2012 deadline.
Here's the article from Keith Law.
(That was kinda sad, watching Reed and Geo Soto hugging all the guys in the dugout, but...onward.)
Now, they're still gonna treat Vizcaino...not with kid gloves but they do not want to rush him.
See what he does in the pen every 3rd day or so.
He was rated the #2 prospect in the Braves' system before the Tommy John and if you've noticed, the Braves are sort of good.
And speaking of good, the Cubs could use a little bit of that this year.
A little joy.
That's not askin' too much is it?
ps: later this morning: USA vs the Czech Republic. GO US GUYS!
