Okay it's just a cartoon and really you need to hear this, especially if you're too young and don't know this song at all.
I don't think it's even been a week, but ever since Starlin Castro said something along the lines of, "Hey man, everybody quiet down and let me bat like me," he's been kind of awesome.
Like you remember him.
A couple homers, extra base hits, yanking that one double right down the 3rd base line...he just seems more confident or in control or something.
I mean, I also remember Cory Patterson saying something similar because he seemed to think he was a home run guy, and that didn't turn out so good but...
If Castro can finish off this season on an high note, that would be incredible.
So what was up with the homers yesterday?
The Cubs get 4, the Red Sox set some kind of record with 8 (and beat the Tigers by 16!), Pablo Sandoval hit 3 all by himself...was that a weird national wind? Something to do with the tide? Would I have boated the Monster Musky?
Anyway, yeah.. the Cubs hit 4 and didn't get swept by the Marlins since they also scored 5 other runs and won 9-7.
Donnie Murphy, Dioner Navarro, Ryan Sweeney, and Castro.
How nice was that?
Have you seen the Cubs' schedule for September?
If they were in the thick of it, we'd all be having heart attacks from non-stop action.
Brewers, Reds, Pirates, Brewers, Braves, Pirates, Cards.
These are all big time games with meaning and destiny and stuff, only for the other teams.
Except for Milwaukee, where they'll be showing Packer re-runs and re-plays instead of Brewer games throughout the month.
Lastly, Sammy Davis Jr. was a total god.
