Did this for this month's issue of Vine Line.
If you're of a certain age, you'll remember what a giant deal it was with all the "no lights at Wrigley" signs in all the Wrigleyville front yards.
Not unlike what's going on with the scoreboard (or jumbotron or whatever you wanna call it) now.
In 25 years there will be 30 year olds saying, "What? Wrigley used to only have that scoreboard in center field with the guys inside? That's insane!"
Anyway, here's Chris Jaffe's report on it from Hardball Times.
I was in New York shooting super slo-mo stawberries splashing in milk for Wheaties and made the production company find any bar in town that would be playing WGN.
They did, and while I remember Sutcliffe and the rainout, the thing I remember best was being in this room full of New Yorkers who had no idea who Harry Caray was, and during the broadcast the famous "Cub Fan Bud Man" commercial ran a couple times.
This is a terrible copy, but if you haven't seen it...
The crowd went NUTS!
