Since the Chicago Cubs are doing such a good job helping the St. Louis Cardinals' with their death-spiraling tailspin, I thought maybe the Fans would like to play too.
Did you know the Cardinals have won only 4 of their last 17 games?
Yeah, it's true.
It's also true that the tailspin started right around the time that Yadier Molina went down with a knee.
And when things line up like that it can become heavy mental baggage for a team when they're all thinking "Man, we can't win without Yadier!"
Ahhhhh, a stretch of just longer than 2 weeks doesn't really mean a tailspin, but it sure is fun to talk about.
Like this: Chris Rusin (Chris Rusin?) went 6 on Friday and the Cubs shut out the Cards in St. Louis for the first time since Clinton was president.
Last night the Cubs came from behind to win, with Darwin Barney hitting the 2-run double to tie and possum playin' Dioner Navarro coming thru on the next pitch with a double of his own to knock in Barney.
I was listening to the radio and guys, there was quite a bit of loud cheering when this was happening.
In the 9th, Nate Schierholtz knocked in Junior Lake for the insurance and thank God because Matt Holliday hit his 2nd homer of the night in the bottom half, but that was it for the Cardinals.
And thus the Cardinals Tailspin Game was born.
If the Cubs actually sweep the Cardinals in St. Louis well, what a perfect weekend this would be.
Hey have you noticed this Blackhawks Stanley Cup graffiti around town?
I'd seen a couple, then heard on the news that the city might take them down.
Because they do such a good job, you know, of removing graffiti.
Anyway, kinda cool.
Maybe Banksy is a Blackhawks fan.
