Just back from vacation, super busy yada yada so I'm putting up one of my all time favorite stories.
The Cubs play the Sox tonight with a chance to sweep the Sox for '13.
So yeah both teams are not so good, but this is a chance at a real treat.
You gotta watch.
Plus, it's Matt Garza showing all the GMs in baseball why he should be on your contending team.
Super cool game yesterday with the Cubs taking 2 of 3 from "the best team in baseball", the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the 9th that pitch Gregg threw wasn't really that bad, but Marte hit it out and I bet 75% of Chicago turned off the game when the Pirates tied it up.
Bottom 11 though, the Cubs load 'em up (thanks for the E, Pirates) and Dioner Navarro hits the deep sac fly for the W.
What a nice win.
Wasn't it just a little while ago that the Cubs were doing well but couldn't beat the Pirates?
Seems the roles are reversing.
Okay, here's the original flip flop story from 2009:
