You saw the San Francisco Forty Niners win over Atlanta, right?
Down 17 points, 14 at the half, the mighty comeback, Colin Kaepernick's 181 rushing yards against the Packers the week before had the Falcons freaking, and to me it didn't seem the Falcons blew it as much as...well seriously? Nobody had ever seen anything like Kaepernick against the Packers. I sure hadn't.
A looooong time ago in Jamaica, I brought this crazy wind-up bird somewhere.
It actually flapped it's wings and flew like a real bird, an honest to god engineering marvel.
We were staying at Drumville Cove, and one night I wound the thing up, flew it around.
The people who worked there had never seen anything like it.
I finally flew it out towards the ocean, and when it flew past the lights and disappeared into the darkness, one of them screeched out in all serious excitement, "Heem fly to America!"
It's what happens in your mind when faced with the completely unfamiliar.
I think the Falcons thought Kaepernick might fly too.
They just freaked.
It's why I think the Niners are gonna win, too.
Anyway, at the end of the game there were a couple times when I thought well, Jim Harbaugh's just crazy.
The first was when Harry Douglas made that catch and Harbaugh thought touched the ground.
He throws his challenge and...doesn't get the call.
Man, he went nuts.
Kooo Kooo.
Blind rage animal crazy like mama bear lost her cub so just get out the way.
Coaches, all they want to do is control everything.
But it never works out, and different guys deal with it in different ways.
Lotta the time, the team reflects the behavior and it can be bad or good, depending.
It looks like it's working for the Niners for sure.
Anyway, that crazy part, that's when I thought of doing this illustration.
It's Jim Harbaugh done as good as I can fake the great Francis Bacon, who did alot of paintings that seemed to get to the animal insides of human beings.
Horror, only scarier.

Pretty fun to paint, too.
And honestly, I think Harbaugh might even like it if he ever saw it.
So...that's all I got.
Trying to get everything done so I can watch the Bowl.
GO NINERS!
