Buster Posey hit an AWESOME 6th inning grand slam and took the possibility of a Reds/Cardinals NLCS out of the picture.
For that I will be eternally grateful, Buster!
I would have been thinking Grand Slam too.
If, you know, I was about 90 years younger and could actually swing a bat with authority and precision and all that.
Justin Verlander, continues to astonish with both his excellence and throwback endurance.
NOBODY throws as many awesome, quality innings as this guy - he leads all of baseball with over 238 innings pitched this year.
And he went nine yesterday to shut out the pesky A's 6 nothin' on only 4 hits.
Verlander is impossible.
Baltimore takes 13 innings to beat the Yankees 2-1 as the Alex Rodriguez horror show continues.
I mean, he got a hit but you get the feeling he's just lost it.
Joe Girardi had Erich Chavez pinch hit for him with 2 out in the bottom of the 13th, I think for the express purpose of not giving A Rod a chance to make the last out and keeping a massive BOO away from him.
Lastly the Nationals got the walk off homer from Jayson Werth and a 2-1 W over the Cardinals, which brings us to today.
Cards/Nats tonight, Yankees/Orioles at around 5 Eastern.
Both these games decide who goes home and who goes on, not to mention they also decide what you're doing tonight.
Now, about my bad breath.
I'm at the Hudson in NY, which I heard is a re-done dormitory.
The rooms are about the size of a cubicle, and the bathrooms are for children.
In the interest of saving space, they designed the insides like so:
Okay so I'm in there last night washing my face and I reach over to the shelf to get my toothbrush, but I accidentally knock it off.
Where do you think it fell?
Yep.
Nothing in there but water, but still..I'm in the market for a new toothbrush today.
