I can't quite put my finger on why, but if I'm completely honest I gotta say that the 2012 MLB Playoffs are such a nothing.
It's deeper than the usual "Well since the Cubs aren't in it, who should I be rooting for" thing that Cub fans end up doing this time of year every year.
All I can think about is how long we have to wait til there's a Cub team that can "compete".
A bad attitude, I know.
Selfish little me.
My personal Cub Fan highlight of last night was seeing Sean Marshall get Ryan Theriot to ground out.
And of course there's the Reds/Cardinals NL Championship series looming with just a couple more wins for the bad guys.
As some complete non-visionary money making schemer "Cub Fans" once said, "It's gonna happen."
I gotta get over this.
Go to The Cub Reporter and read about Javier Baez and his 450 foot home run.
For sure, Baez' path to the bigs will not be at a snail's pace.
Not that he'll be up next year, but soon.
Well, I'm certain that the theme of today's illustration will rear it's ugly head on numerous occasions in the future.
Hopefully we can laugh at our long slow trip together.
While there is no light at the end of next year's tunnel, there IS a light back there.
Just can't really see it yet.
