Well I take back everything I said about the playoffs being sort of nothing.
Because man did it get exciting yesterday.
So exciting, I forgot that the Cubs are still years away from...well, you know.
Anyway, so the Giants and Reds and Tigers and A's are all tied up and whoever loses goes home.
The Yankees pulled one out of their you know where's and one more win tonight and they move on and the Orioles go home.
Oh Alex Rodriguez.
How's the ego, brother?
Joe Girardi sits him down and puts in Raul Ibanez (and his .240 BA yet .453 SLG), who comes up to the plate and smacks the 9th and 12th inning game tying and game winning and ABSOLUTELY HUGE dingers to win the game for the Yanks.
And with the Cardinals - they can move on if they beat Washington (and I can already hear the hurling in Chicago).
But my favorite part of the entire dealio is Jose Valverde coming in to close out a win for Detroit, but instead vomiting up hope and confidence and everything you'd want to see him gag up along with um, the game.
3 straight A's (ha! straight A's!) get on and now it's 3 up with a guy on 2nd and of all people it's 10 year vet Coco Crisp who knocks in the winning run, a single to right that left old Jose goin' "hack hack hack".
Okay, what will happen today?
