Well, I guess it was really only two homers the Marlins hit off Cub starter Travis Wood. It just seemed like more since one scored 2 runs and the other scored 4.
Carlos frickin' Lee.
No matter what uniform the guy puts on, he is one sure-fire, no-doubt, never-ending Cub Killer, and last night he hit the big grand slam that pretty much wrecked the night.
Felt bad for Wood, like maybe Dale Sveum shoulda gone out and got him after all that Marlin carnage. But Omar Infante got to add insult to injury with that last single that scored Hanley Ramirez.
Oh well, seems like quite awhile since the Cubs got squashed like that, and had David DeJesus not fouled out with the bases loaded in the 6th, it might have been way more exciting towards the end.
Marlins 9 Cubs 5.
Ryan Dempster.
They say he'll be gone by the end of the week.
All the rumors flying around, though, could be any minute.
Okay gotta run see ya.
