This waiting for the Ryan Dempster trade to happen is just out of control!
Out of Theo Epstein's control, that is.
This is what I can figure out from reading around:
Theo Epstein may have worked out a trade with Atlanta sending Dempster there for Brave prospect Randall Delgado, but Ryan must have said something like, "I don't wanna go to Atlanta, man! I have a house in Scottsdale and the Braves do Spring Training in Florida!" so Theo's like, "Dammit!" and we all think Ryan wants to go to Los Angeles so he can be with old buddy Ted Lilly and do his Spring Training in Glendale which is just down the street from Ryan's house, which would be cool with Theo if the Dodgers would give up Zach Lee but of course the Dodgers don't want to do that so Theo would maybe be happy with Allen Webster but the Dodgers have yet to answer that so now we're in limbo.
See?
IT'S ALL OUT OF CONTROL!
And we all know how much Theo covets control.
This must be why.
Meanwhile in Pittsburgh, Paul Maholm is maybe pitching better than ever and he shut down his old team the Pirates 5 to 1!
That was Maholm's 5th win in a row.
Should the Cubs be trading him too?
They have the option of keeping him next year for another couple mil or something (not looking it up I don't have time).
Maybe?
And what about Matt Garza?
He's going to be with his wife who's having a baby, which might just be a ploy if 9 months ago he figured he might get a cramp in his right bicep around the trading deadline that could screw up everything.
Ahhh, probably not.
But like I said, it's just out of control right now!
WHATS GONNA HAPPEN!???
