You know what's awesome?
This article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal.
I mean, in a weird way...isn't it kinda cool to not be the team with expectations?
Let me clarify: it IS absolutely cool to not be the team with expectations that starts the season sputtering.
How many years have begun with, "well, it's still early" for the Cubs as they vomit up another horrible May?
"We still haven't put it together yet."
"This team is still good."
Those are quotes from players on...another team.
Happens to be the Brewers, which is kinda nice.
Look at how many of them are just gagging - Rickie Weeks, Niger Morgan, and...can you believe Aramis had a bad start? (I am not picking on him - I'll always like Aramis although he'll probably do serious damage this week).
And they're loaded with injuries.
Karma says I shouldn't rejoice in other's pain so I won't, but you?
Anyway...kinda carefree feeling today.
I wonder if the Cubs are feeling any of that - like...what do they have to lose?
While I don't exactly think the Cubs are playing loose, the Brewers gotta be playing tight.
