I mean, I...guess Dale Sveum is just trying to get it right.
Because he's being either super cautious or super cagey about which Cub hopefuls are going to make it.
I didn't keep track of everywhere I read it, but I swear in almost every article I read that includes a Sveum quote, he uses the "it's not etched in stone" line somewhere.
Sort of like this...
REPORTER: Do you think you'll keep DeJesus leading off, even if he's only gotten 8 hits all spring?
SVEUM: Uh, I think so. But it's not etched in stone.
REPORTER: What about the rotation. Volstad or Wells or Lopez?
SVEUM: That's...not etched in stone. One of those guys'll tell me.
Kinda cracks me up, actually.

Anyway, next couple days he ought to lay it all out.
I think he's gonna spill what the rotation will be on Wednesday at least.
