Yeah, it's true.
I found out this morning with my cup of coffee.
Professional baseball teams got on fields yesterday and played baseball for the first time in what seems like years.
Including the Chicago Cubs.
I was getting kinda sick of saying stuff about General Managers and Presidents of Baseball Organizations and bunting contests and predictions of mediocrity.
How awesome is it to say, "I heard Rodrigo Lopez pitched lights out yesterday." Or, "Carlos Marmol went 1-2-3 in his inning."
Of course you might also add, "Barney and DeJesus both got picked off first in the same inning" if you wanted to get detailed.
But still, pretty wonderful.
You know what else is cool?
The WGN spring training broadcast schedule (thanks Donna).
Yep, if you turn on your radio today you'll hear Pat Hughes and Zonk live! Talking baseball and the Chciago Cubs and Oakland Athletics.
Of course I'm working and won't get to listen, so I'm jealous of you all.
But you know what else you can say?
"Go Cubs!"
Man that's nice.
