Well, no matter what, it's a pretty sad day.
Game #162 for the 2011 Chicago Cubs will be played at 7:30 Chi-Time tonight in San Diego with Ryan Dempster on the mound.
The last game for this year, and I already miss the voices of the guys who've been sort of buddies all summer - Pat and Keith and Len and Bob.
But whatever, it's gonna be a very interesting off season, so there's definitely stuff to look forward to.
Who stays and who goes - I read about the Ozzie Guillen going to the Marlins thing. Aramis and Zambrano packing their bags for Florida makes perfect sense, right?
We'll see.
I wonder if this is Reed Johnson's last Cub game.
Hope not.
The Padres sewed up last place in the NLWest last night when the Cubs beat 'em 6 to 2 or something.
After dinner I went into a place in Santa Monica that had a Dodgers game on and not alot of people paying attention.
I say to the bartender, "Hey can you find the Cubs game?"
He goes, "Seriously?"
Yeah, it won't be that terrible for this year to be over, really.
