Guess where I'm at?
If you guessed "work", YOU WIN!
Weeeee!
I drove in through this horrible rainstorm to get here, got to my office and looked out the window.
A double rainbow at Lollapalooza 2011.
Of course today, I had to send my real camera in because it had dust on the inside of the lens, and had to take this shot with my phone.
Some band over there, probably Cage the Elephant, is making my window rattle.
I'll get so much done!
Anyway, since I'm down here obviously I don't have time for a clever illustration which probably, at the risk of tiring you with the subject, would have been Tony Campana.
In the bottom of the 7th he knocked in Reed Johnson with a single. Then Aramis Ramirez hit a double play grounder, which the camera followed towards third and for a second you forgot that Campana was over there on first.
He's so fast, he slid across 2nd base right when Reds 2nd baseman Paul Janish catches the ball, Campana takes his legs out for a completely clean and utterly awesome play.
Unlike Matt Holliday and the sissy-kick slide at Starlin Castro.
And Aramis was safe at first.
So, pretend I drew that.
The Cubs made this game really interesting, taking the lead in the 7th, but then Sean Marshall had bad-hang on his curveball and gave up the lead.
Cincinnati Reds 8, Chicago Cubs 7.
Streak ends.
And now, I can't believe I was thinking "Oh GOD! What if they win 40 of the remaining 48 games! WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE?!!!"
I'm very happy with the Week of Wins, but probably we're back to normal.
Wed nite, August 10th, I hope to make the Nationals game with Sutter.
Supposed to be the Wrigley Field unveiling of the Santo sculpture at Ron Santo Day.
PLEASE PLEASE let it be just him, and not something "arty" like what that artist did to poor Harry.
Something worthy of worship that Ronny deserves.
