It's killing me I'm just too freaking swamped to draw.
On the radio driving home, I heard Demp had way under a hundred pitches going into the 8th, and the Cubs were up one.
The second I finally turned it on, Quade's taking Demp out and I'm thinking, "If this doesn't work out..."
Marmol came in and gave up the run.
Seriously, how much do you love Dempster?
He's such the leader.
That was a gut-wrenching heart-breaking crime, seeing poor kid Campana drill his throw home into the ground and... that guy was SO out if the throw is even 20% better.
Dempster didn't flinch.
You can only imagine what he was thinking.
Anyway, turned it off.
Had I continued watching then for sure they would have lost and, you know, more revulsion in my life.
But they won.
Still don't know how, maybe somebody'll tell me.
Anyway, thank you Ryan Dempster for giving me one tiny shred of joy.
By FAR the best pitching performance this year, and against Lincecum!
