Maaaaaan oh maaaaan.
Cubs swept by the Giants in a Wrigley Field double header.
Don't you wonder what this season would have been like if Randy Wells and Andrew Cashner had never gotten hurt?
What this team would look like if we never even heard of retreads Doug Davis or that other guy Rodrigo Lopez?
End of March, this team was supposed to have a pretty good group of starters - maybe the best in the division.
Now, there are 4 teams in the Central within 3 games of each other including the Pirates.
Be a whole lot more fun if the Cubs had about 8 less losses.
Be alot more fun if my cat hacked up furballs of money, too.
But you know what?
You could be Adam Dunn.
Or you could be Rod Blagojevich.
Or you could be me, with today's bright prospect of a behind-closed-doors meeting called a "physical" with a doctor and a rubber glove.
See, life ain't so bad.
Today should be MUCH better with Dempster and Tim Lincecum on the mound.
And this weekend, with both teams in such turmoil (read this), I'm actually looking forward to the Cubs/Sox series.
It's just so awful with the Cubs and the Sox that maybe something wonderful will happen.
