It isn't very often that the Cubs get to play the Yankees.
Gotta be even less often that the Cubs get to beat the Yankees.
So when the Cubs did exactly that yesterday, I thought man, some wins are just cooler than others.
For instance, back on May 19th, the Cubs beat the Marlins to complete a 2-game sweep.
Was that a cool game?
I don't really remember, so probably not.
Plus, it was the Marlins.
Yeah, there's the 2003 thing where they stuffed it down our throats but...
Yawn.
But yesterday, behind the perhaps-getting-more-accurate pop gun pitching of Doug Davis, some Cub bats getting to Freddy Garcia early, another freaking AMAZING catch by freaking AMAZING catch legend Reed Johnson, and 4 outs from Carlos Marmol... the Cubs won.
And it was even cooler since it was against the Yankees.
Not as cool as when the Cubs played the Yanks in '03 and Kerry Wood beat Roger Clemens, but still.
