How long has it been since you had some news about the Cubs that made your heart feel better?
You guys know I've been insane with work - I was flying back from NY yesterday, and HUGE fellow Cub Fan Bob Scarpelli just happened to be on my flight.
I didn't even see him - I was just getting on the plane and he grabbed my arm from behind and said, "Kerry Wood is coming back."
JOLT.
You know how we all worry about who the Cubs might get - the hot stove talk all brain food about the numbers and stats of strangers.
Well, a good friend is coming home.
This one's for the heart.
It's so AWESOME to just say it out loud, "Kerry Wood is BACK!"
What a fabulous day.
