I was trying to think of people, even from way back, who I know who are Giants fans or Rangers fans.
And I completely draw a blank.
Not unusual, I don't think, here in the midwest.
But I've lived everywhere and couldn't come up with ANY.
Then I remembered Lisa. Cool person. Funny. Cub fan. She used to be in our group, a writer. And she got engaged to this guy Will Bright.
"He's a Giants fan." she said.
Giants?
I thought that was weird, but whatever. I took 'em to a Cubs/Giants game and he was a great guy. I think he said he played some college 3rd base somewhere in CA. Or maybe that was a room mate or something.
Anyway, so the Giants thing kinda made sense.
And now here we are, the morning of the first game of the 2010 World Series, and freaking Will pops into my head when I'm trying to think of the fans thing.
He and Lisa got married and moved to New York, but you never know - maybe they'll read this post.

EVEN THOUGH I KINDA SCOFFED AT YOUR TEAM WAY BACK, I'M TOTALLY IN AWE OF THEM NOW.
