Perhaps you've forgotten about the Atlanta Braves.
Bobby Cox, that guy is as old school as they come, and he does not like other teams claiming the inside portion of the plate.
You throw inside to a Brave, and you can expect something a little more inside to a Cub, and pretty soon everybody's eating bean balls.
Last year, the Cubs skunked the Braves 6 games to nothin'.
Awesome.
But there's something going on between these two teams that gets uglier every year.
Hey you know what's cool?
I've been doing this blog long enough to kind of have some history.
Please read this post from last August 14th.
See?
When we last left this series, the Braves were throwing at Soriano's head, so Ted Lilly hits Brave shortstop Yunel Escobar and the benches clear.
The Braves always have a couple giant cox on their team.
Remember Robert Fick in '03?
With the Cubs right around the corner from the playoffs, Fick lays down a bunt and is a for-sure out, so just as Cub 1st baseman Eric Karros is about to catch the ball, Fick whacks his arm to make him miss.
Totally bush.
Okay so this year the Braves and Cubs have almost exactly the same .500-ish record.
Lets see how it plays out...
Randy Wells is pitching for Carlos, and he's due for a W.
Go Cubs.
