What a bombshell.
Manny Ramirez tests positive and gets a 50 game suspension.
Can you imagine what happens next?
He already claimed it was "...a medication, not a steroid..." that was given to him by his doctor.
But I know what you and everybody else thinks.
And I've already heard sooo many times that when you're an athlete of Manny's stature, you know exactly what you're doing to your body.
As a Cub fan I immediately go to last year's playoffs, where Manny hit 2 homers and scored 5 of the 20 total Dodger runs.
Would the Dodgers have won with only 15 runs?
Well, the Cubs only scored 6 total, so probably.
As a baseball fan I immediately think, how stupid can you possibly be today to take anything that could test positive as a PED?
And I wonder how long MLB can go before this simple "cheating" turns into something with serious legal implications.
Because if Manny wasn't taking PED's, and his numbers weren't so Manny-like, then how much less of a contract would he be getting?
I don't know how much you have to steal for a crime to be a felony, but I would imagine stealing millions would probably put him in that category.
And I'm just an art guy.
What do lawyers think?
Anyway, what a dope.
