Early?
Yep.
But Kosuke Fukudome looks pretty comfy at the plate, doesn't he?
49 at bats, 17 hits - 6 of 'em doubles and 3 homers.
Plus the 12 walks and I'd say he's pretty much way exceeding what I thought he'd be doing.
Yeah he still screws a bit, but if he keeps these kinds of numbers up who cares?
Especially if Milton keeps Miltoning, the Soriano-Johnson-Fukudome outfield may become sort of normal.
I'm so bummed about Milton's unfortunate start here - his quotes yesterday were right out of the "HOW TO SPEAK TO THE DAMN MEDIA" book written by LaTroy Hawkins.
So, I'm gonna ignore that guy as much as he's ignoring me until he starts to seriously play.
Not worth it, and the one thing he's correct about is (since he's done nothing) there's nothing positive to say.
But it was good to see Jeff Samardzija back even with the hard hit balls off him.
Guy's got an energy I forgot about.
And now the Cubs go down to St. Louis, where the Cards just swept the Mets.
Albert Pujols is red hot.
While the Cubs look lifeless.
Maybe they were looking ahead a little, but I think the Reds pitching may have been a bit of a wake up call - Aaron Harang looks pretty healthy to me.
But, there you go.
