Because for the last 2 Holiday Seasons (which coincide with the Winter Meetings), a lotta people have been talking about Mark DeRosa.
A lotta people meaning general managers.
And while I'm sure Jim Hendry isn't done tinkering, it looks like the Cubs second/third baseman/right/left fielder is going to stay with the Cubs.
Which is good since (well at least I think) he was the Cubs mvp in 07, and last year he was right up there again.
He's Mr. Versatility, the Jock who can play anywhere and it doesn't affect his bat.
Anyway, my right ear is ringing right at this moment, which means somebody's saying something good about me.
Or maybe it's the left ear ringing that means somebody's saying something good which means somebody's saying something bad...
Can't really remember the rules.
So I'll choose to think it's something good.
And I'll continue to give a dollar whenever I see a Salvation Army person ringing their bell.
Okay, last thought of the day.
If the '85 Bears were playing tonight, I'd know already that Dan Hampton, Steve McMichael, Richard Dent... basically the entire D would be wearing short sleeves.
Tonight, are there any current Bears crazy enough to go short sleeves?
I hope so.
Like to see some hitting tonight.
