This is a view of the giant stained glass window inside the church.
Whenever Aramis smacks 3-run homers, I head over to give thanks.
And I guess he smacked 2 yesterday.
Amen, brother.
Ryan Dempster gets his 15th win (I don't remember the last 20 game winner, but with a little luck Mr. Dempster just might be the next).
The Cubs beat the Lowly-Nats 9-2 to keep 4 1/2 games ahead of the Brewers, who've won 3 in a row.
FINALLY there's something in the paper about CC Sabathia's innings and pitch count.
From the TRIBUNE: "Sabathia had thrown 120-plus pitches in three of his last seven starts heading into one on Saturday night, including a 130-pitch complete game Monday against Houston. Yost declined to pull him after eight even though the Brewers had a six-run lead."
You keep CC's pedal to the metal there, Dusty Yost.
So, back to Sunday...
If you ever get the chance, be sure to visit the Church of Aramis. Don't forget to check out the Derrek Lee and Ryan Theriot wings - they're very impressive.
The Rich Harden steeple is currently under construction, and may be completed later today with another Wrigley win...
Go Cubs.
