I am NOT suggesting that this should become a habit, but every now and then the Cubs can eat a loss and stay relatively comfortable.
You gotta keep that cushion over the Brewers and Cards, but I'm not gonna get all crazy because of the loss last night when the listless Cubs were incapable of getting to Bronson Arroyo with anything more than 3 hits over 7 innings.
We were at the game.
Boring, not alot of energy (although Ted Lilly looked good).
Anyway, I was listening to Lou the other day and his mantra is: just win the series.
Don't think too far ahead.
Don't worry about sweeps.
Just win the series you're playing one at a time and everything'll take care of itself.
I agree.
Eat a loss now and then, not a disaster.
But they BETTER win today, hear me Carlos?
Okay, Go Cubs!
I got an LL Bean catalogue in the mail, and it must be targeted to fatter, older guys like me because you can order your pants with that "hidden comfort" thing on any pants they sell.
Had to laugh.
