You know when Pat Hughes tells you it's a beautiful night at Wrigley?
He ain't lyin'.
Accidentally had my camera on flash in the 3rd one, but it lit up that cotton candy pretty nicely.
Anyway, Carlos was magnificent (don't think getting another ace doesn't fire up the competitive juices internally, my friend).
Aramis with the dinger, D. Lee and Kosuke Fukudome with the big clutch hits, and poor Jimmy Edmonds looking completely lost at the plate.
Next to us were a row of giant men completely decked out in Reds hats and shirts, with the one right to my right breaking man laws by legging over the imaginary seat-area line and constantly touching calf hairs with me.
Pretty gross.
But it was such an incredible evening, and the Reds were so shut down I couldn't get mad.
Plus... guy had to be 6'4".
Cubs 5 Reds 1.
To make the night even more glorious: Phillies 4 Cards 2, Rockies 8 Brewers 3.
Nice.
This afternoon at 1:20 it's Mr. Theodore Roosevelt Lilly vs. Bronson "Pretty Boy" Arroyo.
Go Cubs.
