I put this .gif up the other day, but I heard it wasn't working so I took it down, simplified it.
Put it back up today.
I was getting ahead of myself anyway.
But don't tell me this hasn't been in the back of your mind for awhile now.
First place Cubs.
First place Sox.
The Cubs took 5 out of 6 last year to even the all time record for each team at 30-30.
Oh yeah, and there was that nice little sweep too...
Earlier this year, when Ozzie did the Big Rant, it was weird that he brought up the Cubs:
''...The Cubs haven't won in 120 years, and they're the [bleep]ing best. [Bleep] it, we're good. [Bleep] everybody. We're horse[bleep], and we're going to be horse[bleep] the rest of our lives, no matter how many World Series we win. We are the bitch of Chicago. We're the Chicago bitch..."
But even during the year they won the Series, when I spoke to Sox fans they rarely talked about how good the Sox were.
Most of them would tell me what was wrong with the Cubs.
Anyway, it's going to be a must-see-Wrigley weekend and I am so there.
Soriano had some lead-off homers vs. the Sox last year, and Konerko's done his share of damage to the Cubs, pretty much a wash as far as any (position) player injury edge goes.
Bring it on.
ps: Some of you told me that you got a Carlos Zambano batting post yesterday - I think there was a glitch or something, cause I didn't send that out.
