Well, not surprised about the home streak coming to an end.
Honestly, I can't believe they came back like that after this weekend's Sox games.
Yep, they're all pros, but getting up after that still can't be easy.
Lets see, first black mark for E. Patterson with the E, but when Lou looked so not happy was when Michael Wuertz was coughing up the runs after Marshall sat.
I see his ERA is pretty good at 2.48, but he never seems to inspire confidence - like when Lou puts him in he's always ready to yank him immediately.
And Lieber - I'm so glad he's a good team guy with the patience because again, I guarantee he's going to play a big role before this season ends.
The last 3 outs were miserable - Kosuke bailing, Ronny Cedeno and Henry Blanco swinging at nothin'.
Okay enough of that.
3rd place Milwaukee is playing good enough ball to be in first in both the NL East and West - they're 8-2 in their last 10 with a 4 game winning streak.
Here's a good article on how the Cardinals stay where they are.
And tonight is Ted Lilly against 6-5 lefty Brian Burres.
I'll be there with Sutter.
Go Cubs.
ps: In case you don't think the Cubs are enough reason to look forward to September...check out this trailer for this upcoming movie "Burn After Reading". Pitt, Clooney, McDormand, Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, and that guy who played the dad in "Juno", all directed in what looks like glorious dark fun by the Coen Brothers.
Wow.
