So lately, Jason Marquis has been some kind of giant killer.
Last week he beat Brad Penny who was an all-star in '06 and '07, and Roy Halladay's a 2-time all-star who's won the Cy Young - one of the AL's best.
Yesterday Marquis beat Halladay and his Blue Jays with one hit over 7, but then loaded 'em up in the 8th.
Marmol and Howry finished them off.
Reed Johnson was the bat-stud with the 3 run homer early (love when the guy who gets dumped comes back and dumps on his old team like Reedy did yesterday).
Plus D. Lee 3 for 4.
Cubs 6 Jays 2.
We were walking around the Old Town Art Fair, which seemed kinda old.
I hadn't been in years and still felt like I'd seen half of it.
But still pretty fun and inspiring - I would love to do one of those things.
Here's one photo from it, which at the time I thought was SOOOOO funny - a painting of a...Blue Jay while I was listening to them getting pasted by the Cubs.
Maybe I still needed some coffee...
But somewhere in here Pat or Dave said something about Marquis Quality Pitches on that very radio.
See what I mean?
Inspiring.
Today at noon is ex-Blue Jay Ted Lilly vs. current Blue Jay Jesse Allen Litsch, who was born in Pinellas Park, FL. (Not exactly the right spelling, but that's gotta be some kind of sign...)
We're supposed to go to the beach, but there's a mutha of a storm out right now.
Maybe I'm just gonna whip up some blueberry pancakes for everyone and hang around the tv.
