Cubs lose 3-5 and Houston wins the series 2 games to 1.
Irritating?
You bet.
But this isn't bad.
Bad happened in San Diego.
Albert Pujols hit a line drive straight into starter Chris Young's nose, and then 2 plays later slides over catcher Josh Bard's left ankle.
So, broken nose and "sprained" ankle (it'll make you want to hurl, watching) and two guys out in the span of a couple minutes.
That's bad.
So far, we're all even at 3 games apiece with the Astros, and we still have this to look forward to: 3 games there in July, 3 games here in August, and 3 games here and 3 there in September.
Even though their bats are better than I ever thought, I still don't believe the pitching in St. Louis.
I think the September games against Houston are gonna be uh, the big ones.
But what do I know?
Besides knowing how much I hate the Astros?
Okay, a day off and then, Memorial Day.
Think I might fill a cooler.
ps: My buddy Flynn had some kind of knee injury way back when - still suffers from it in his head.
Replays like Pujols bending Bard's ankle wrong - where you or I might feel ill?
Flynn rubs his knee.
I'm gonna do a painting of that some time.
Guy feels EVERY injury he sees in his knee.
It's like a curse.
