I quit advertising for a couple years in the early '90's, made t-shirts for awhile, then came back.
But I had alot time to paint, and I did this postcard book with Northland Press in Flagstaff called "Cowpoke".
This painting is called "Cowhide", based on one of those postcards.
There's this site called Illustration Friday, and what they do is come up with a topic each week for people to illustrate.
It's a pretty cool site, this week's topic is "blanket", and I wanted to participate.
(Of course, that's actually a rug hanging on the wall in this painting, but I'm the artist so I'll just say it's a blanket.)
I'll probably keep doing this once in awhile when Cubs (or sports) news is slow.
Or redundant.
I am so sick of reading about the 'bowl - the front page of the Trib has a story about a national man-crush on Tom Brady.
God.
But I can't wait to watch, even if the Pats will destroy them.
Got some buddies who have commercials running, so I'll root for them.
