I'm actually glad I didn't see the barrel of Ryan Braun's bat collide with the face of Jason Marquis.
I was working, so I missed it.
But I guess it wasn't too bad, since old Jason hung around for 7 innings.
The Cubs really needed the good start (the last two games - not so good by the starters).
Wyatt and I went yesterday.
The Brewers had about 30 runs before you knew it, plus Sheets was on the mound so...you just didn't believe the Cubs could repeat the Ramirez miracle game.
Guy in front of us wanted his money back when Lou switched out Lee, Ramirez and Soriano.
But that's in the past, friend.
Perhaps today the Cubs have started a new winning streak...
I keep forgetting to mention this.
We went to see "1408" - the new "scary" movie with John Cusak?
So...not really scary, but here's what happened right at the start.
Cusak is this writer who goes to "haunted" hotels looking for ghosts, right? The first hotel he checks into, he's wearing a baseball hat that you didn't really notice before. But they have a tight shot of the hat getting thrown on the bed.
It's a White Sox hat.
Man, the whole theatre started booing.
Not so good for the Sox this year.
