Couldn’t watch yesterday.
I sort of lost my desire after that brutal bait and switch of hope on Saturday.
When the Cubs went up 7-5 in the 7th, I was super high.
When they gave up the 6 runs in the bottom of the same inning, I was so low I couldn’t kick the dog.
(Moderation is stupid – I’ve never understood it and I don’t admire people who live in it.)
Anyway, I made a Cub-logo good luck thingy.
Made the “C” out of a horseshoe I found.
The horseshoe, when hung on a wall “up” like so...
...holds the good luck inside sort of like a pot.
Lots of people make the mistake of hanging a horseshoe upside down.
No good, my walking under a ladder friend.
The luck spills out.
But when hung correctly…well just look what happened yesterday: a big blue W.
Plus we didn’t get swept.
Up next?
The 23-17 Mets, playing at home in NY.
But so what?
Bring it on, man.
I got the horseshoe of logo-luck hanging the correct way, Cub fans.
